Some of you may know John Yates who did truly amazing graphic collages, artwork for plenty of bands and labels, and political t-shirt designs such as “Democracy we Deliver” or “Officer Friendly”. Some of you also know that he used to run his own record label called “Allied Recordings”, thus part of his releases was this compilation series from the mid nineties with a total of 4 different 7” records (in slightly changed sleeves) with his typical beautiful art and construction work. The bands included were either totally new or unknown at this time. Musically it´s pretty; from crust, grind, hardcore, to emo and more rocking melodic pop punk - all mixed together and all previously unreleased! If you collect stuff like this, this is essential as we have all 4 parts here in stock, but in a limited quantity, so it´s wise to get them together. Volume 1 has: SLEEPER, SHADOWMAN, SPOKE and ASKANCE. - Comes with lyric sheet. - There's plenty of cool unknown bands to discover, some of them got famous, others never made it to any further releases....
