Members of that band seem to have been in pretty much every Punk or hardcore band from the U.K. in the last 25 years or so: Health Hazard, Ebola, One By One, Boxed In...you name them. Blood Robots started in 1982 and recorded 2 demos, a split flexi 7“ with Reality Control and a few compilation tracks. Here´s most of their recorded work combined on a record that has more than 40 minutes of superb and pretty unique Punk, that has been influenced by Swell Maps, The Fall and of course Crass. In the past few years Portland has produced some top-notch hardcore, most notably in the family of bands such as ALIENATOR, SUCK LORDS, REEK MINDS, etc. The latest installment of this cluster of weirdos is CHUEKO, with their four song debut 7”. Fierce fast, hard punk with solid paces, great tones (notably the bass, often taking the helm as the courier of riffage) and really catchy tunes. There are many nods to HC bands past, specifically 80’s USHC, but there is also a nice UK82 overtone, giving the songs a nice swagger, often bringing to mind GBH (in fact the intro for “Stupid People” is a direct homage to said band). This ep deserves to be on your turntable if you appreciate the aforementioned bands and hardcore with an emphasis on punk. No cheezy breakdowns or macho posturing, just steady driving slamming shit which will demand multiple flips of the record

BJE exist since a mere of 10 years now and already released three (3) 10" EPs but to many people this band remains pretty much obscure. It's a miracle to me how this could happen because in my humble opinion this 12" should be among the best hardcore punk records that ever came out of Finland. Includes members of Kyklooppien Sukupuutto and Totuus among their ranks. F**king mental!

Los Angeles sounds, , SCREAMERS (again), NERVOUS GENDER and a fistful of NEW BOMB TURKS, a bastard son called LOST SOUNDS or REATARDS, combining the best from before mentioned bands – with that extra aussie weirdness!

Absolutely reckless and compressed hardcore punk rock, full of jumps in register and micro-shifts in timing. Based in Barcelona, and powering through 10 songs in their mother tongue of Catalan, this livid and catchy record is like MOTORHEAD at 78rpm with the vocal phrasing of the PEGGIO PUNX or INDIGESTI. Sounds like the bass is made of wiggly melted down Gitoni players, and the guitars have Big Muff pedals wedged in the amplifier cones. Punk at this level of disheveled velocity and excitement is a rare art.
