NYC duo Straw Man Army return with their third LP, “Earthworks”, to complete a trilogy of records begun with 2020’s “Age of Exile,” and 2022’s “SOS”. Whereas “Age of Exile” dealt with the haunted landscapes of colonial history in the Americas, and “SOS” gave voice to a crisis of the present moment, like a prayer in bewildering times, 2024’s “Earthworks” signals the band’s attempt to close this trilogy by turning their gaze towards the future, where paradox, complexity and contradiction spiral in ascendance to an agonizing pitch. While continuing to develop their own style of anarcho-punk, “Earthworks” finds the band pulling once again from jazz and ambient influences, expanded Krautrock rhythms, and post-rock experiments, with a stronger emphasis on melodic vocals and varied song structures than on previous offerings.

KARMA SUTRA - The Daydreams Of A Production Line Worker LP (UK IMPORT)
Karma Sutra had already been a band for five years when they released their elusive one and only album ,released on their own Paradoxical Records label in 1987. The Daydreams of a Production Line Worker came towards the end of the bands life span and all they had to show prior was a few demos and some tracks on compilations on Mortarhate. By the time the band entered the studio KARMA SUTRA was spreading their musical wings, moving from a straight ahead anarcho sound to a more dense and thoughtful place, adding flourishes of post punk and moody atmospheres to their agit-prop political stance thus creating one of the most idiosyncratic concept albums of their time, where situationist politics meet the most ambitious anarcho punk sound.

ES WAR MORD – Die Utopie der Kosmonauten LP
In my opinion among the best German punk bands of the past decade. ES WAR MORD play melodic but also very melancholic punk. A comparison that might not be 100% akkurate is RAZZIA morphing into "Ausflug mit Franziska" ... but who of you understand comparsion unless you're a fan of RAZZIA eh? This album was among my best of 2022 and still would be in my best of 2024. Features members of VORKRIEGSJUGEND and JINGO DE LUNCH but don't sound in any way like their previous bands so don't get you hopes up too high. Listen to it. Package as usual from SOUDN OF SUBTERRANIA is top notch!

Cross Stitched Eyes are back with their first release since almost 9 years! - "Autosarcophagy" was recorded, arranged and mixed between 2016 and 2017 and finally finished 2020. Featured here are 8 tracks recorded just prior their final 2017 US Tour. Cross Stitched Eyes continiue to combine elements of postpunk and deathrock from the likes of early KILLING JOKE, AMEBIX and RUDIMENTARY PENI with more obscure psychadelic rock influences , odd timings and drone like compositions. Lyrically once again exploring with the darkest and twisted corners of the mind as well as personal nightmares and haunting expiriences. - "Autosarcophagy" might be a slight musical departure from previous Cross Stitched Eyes recordings but you still smell the peni!
