Warum müssen wir, trotz all des technischem Fortschritts, mehr arbeiten als je zuvor? Wie kommt es, dass je härter wir arbeiten, wir letztendlich im Vergleich zu unseren Bossen umso ärmer werden? Warum konzentrieren sich die Leute einzig darauf, ihre Jobs zu retten, wenn die Wirtschaft zusammenbricht – obwohl eigentlich von vornherein keine_r die Arbeit mag? Kann der Kapitalismus ein weiteres Jahrhundert der Krisen überstehen?

Work behandelt diese und eine ganze Menge anderer Fragen. Um sie beantworten zu können, musste das Kollektiv die vorherige Analyse der Lohnarbeit überdenken und ein differenzierteres Verständnis der Wirtschaft entwickeln. Es hat Monate damit verbracht, düstere Teile der Geschichte zu studieren und Aufzeichnungen darüber, wie Ausbeutung im alltäglichen Leben erfahren wird, zu vergleichen – um langsam eine große vereinheitlichte Feldtheorie über den aktuellen Kapitalismus auszuarbeiten.
