ULRIKES DREAM - If it Leads... It Bleeds 7

Found a whole box full... Mid eighties Belgian crust-anarcho punk combo in the tradition of early UNHINGED or HIATUS comes also to mind when listening to this. Music-wise pretty much pissed off crust without becoming boring and lame. Angry gut wrenching fe/male dual vocals and shredding guitars. Still going on with slight line up changes, but still kicking ass. This is their first vinyl release from early 1999. Comes with a massive additional DIN A5 booklet including lyrix, artwork and infos, cut and paste DIY style. Pre DETRITUS / VISIONS OF WAR i think. (Various Labels)

DISFEAR - Soul Scars LP

25 year anniversary edition! Available in the States from Havoc Records! - Originally released in 1995 via Distortion Records, now re-released via La Familia Releases! Forming around 1989, Disfear took elements from both crust and death metal scenes to effectively reinvent the Swedish sound. It is from Disfear's influence that we have seen the likes of Martyrdod, Warcollapse, Wolfpack (now Wolfbrigade), and countless others. Disfear simply took the things that made the Swedish death metal scene so effective such as ferocious/anxious vocals and pummeling drums and put them into the arena of d-beat punk. The result added new dimensions to the genre's sound.
