PLEASE NOTE: I found two handfull of FROM ASHES RISE "Silence". LPs from the 2001 Skuld Releases pressing in a box with excess FAR record-sleeves... - THESE COPIES HAVE BLANK A+B SIDE LABELS* AND COME WITH A XROXED LYRIC SHEET! - I assume these were like the END OF PRESS copies before pressing stopped.

*Black and white blank labels with no print on them.

This is after their "Concrete & Steel" Lp (later out on Skuld as well) half a year ago their second big piece of vinyl. From Ashes Rise are in the same vein as His Hero Is Gone and Tragedy, and anyone who likes those bands will be blown away by the awesome assault of these smoldering hardcore songs. The sound is powerful and harsh, but with a very good sense of hidden melody and catchy riffs & it is even more brutal & "melodic", but also more complex than their earlier stuff. The vocals are strained and desperate, with the overall feel being dark and depressing. Fantastic.
