FAUCHEUSE - Rêve Électrique LPFaucheuse are a bit like your usual favourite meal but with a different sauce and seasoning. And while you wouldn’t think this favourite meal of yours - one you’ve been eating exactly the same way for years - could be cooked differently and still taste brilliant, it does, in a spectacular fashion. 15,00 € (Alle Preise inkl. GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR - Total Demonstration LPGlobal Thermonuclear War, a recording project that teams up Shite from Rigorous Institution and Karl, the drummer from Suck Lords and Crucified Class. "Seeking Mastery" sounds like something that might have come out of the late 80s UK, which makes when you think about it. Shite’s other band sounds a lot like Amebix, and bands like Napalm Death and Extreme Noise Terror adopted the metal-punk approach of bands like Amebix and Deviated Instinct, combining them with a Siege-inspired, blastbeat-heavy drumming—something Karl showed his facility with in his other band—to creative an exciting new sound. I hear a lot of E.N.T. in particular in Global Nuclear War’s sound, partly because there aren’t metal guitar leads and partly because the music is just so gnarly and ugly… it sounds like crawling on your knees across a bed of broken glass. And as with both Rigorous and Suck Lords’ music, Global Thermonuclear War’s songs are free of the obvious and the cliche. That’s true of Shite’s lyrics, which focus on the most fucked up aspects of today’s world: factory farming, economic “migration,” the bloody imperialist games of nation-states… the lyrics are as direct and uncompromising (though not as succinct) as Discharge, and have the plain-spoken wisdom of someone gifted with the ability to see straight through bullshit. Seeking Mastery is just a great tape, urgent, exciting, fresh, and punk as fuck. (Daniel / Sorry State) 15,00 € (Alle Preise inkl. MwSt. zzgl. Versandkosten) |
ANTIDOTUM - Jedna Plaga Ludzka Plagah LPHailing from Warsaw, and picking up where Post Regiment threw the towel. Powerful, melodic punk with a female singer, but way more aggressive than the before mentioned. A proof of an ongoing good tradition of polish HC-punk! 13,00 € (Alle Preise inkl. MwSt. zzgl. Versandkosten) |
LIFE SCARS - Pęknięte Serca LPA bit late but finally I have a few copies here. There is a certain melancholy in the music of LIFE SCARS that speaks of tenderness and confidence. The beauty of the rebellion and the clarity of the critique are empowering in the face of a dying world. Originally founded in 2008 and based in the most eastern part of Poland, LIFE SCARS became one of the most active and consistent bands in the polish DIY Punkscene. 15,00 € (Alle Preise inkl. HOPE? - Your Perception Is Not My Reality ? 7"Debut 7" of Portland crust in the 90s tradition. In a time of nihilistic hardcore and intentionally non-sequential garage rock it is refreshing to find punk that hues to a political core. HOPE? echoes the anger and aspirations of the political punk of years past, but channels their rage and demand for recognition into messages that are present and necessary today. As the world crumbles around us we need bands like HOPE? to reinforce our small communities; raise out fists, dance, and shout our communal yearning, rejection, and solidarity. 7,50 € (Alle Preise inkl.
