Terra Mater from Australia is playing an unrelenting, down-tuned, strings-driven melodic d-beat hardcore with a modern-crust-edge and outstanding brutal female and male dual vocals. Extremely powerful lyrics, artwork and presentation. Taking right where SCHIFOSI, EKKAIA, ASHKARA MADAME GERMEN... left off. This release is very dark, heavy and melody driven.

Next exit Bremen. Hell yeah, 22 years is a f**king long time and it’s hard to believe that the recording of these nine tracks are that old - and yet, the "1996 reconstructed" stands the test of time - it's still as fresh and vital as when it was recorded.

COLD LEATHER - Smart Moves LP

COLD LEATHER - Smart Moves LP

500 copies on Black - Silk Screened inserts! 9 song debut album after a stunning 7" and Demo. When a band has the word “leather” in their name, usually you either think of something like Judas Priest or you go the Velvet Underground route. Well, Cold Leather sound like neither. In fact, they probably sound as if no punk band had existed from ’74 on. They play those tasty classic rock type riffs with a groovy rhythm section and have the same sexy teenage urgency that you feel when you listen to The Runaways. It’s like they were punks before there was punk – and I don’t mean power-pop. I’m thinking about that period of time when rock was dangerous and sexual and it wasn’t necessary to differentiate it from all the commercial bands’ bullshit. And believe me, if Cold Leather have one fault, is that the short duration of their single and demo leaves us wanting more. For a whole lot more." (cvlt nation /HUGO FILIPE LOPES)

CULTURE SHOCK - The Humanity Show 12

CULTURE SHOCK - The Humanity Show 12"

CULTURE SHOCK is an English ska punk band formed in 1986 by Dick Lucas, previously of THE SUBHUMANS. Over their initial history the band played hundreds of gigs, including frequent appearances at free festivals, and released three studio albums on the Bluurg record label. Lucas’ lyrics were mostly concerned with social and political issues, from cruelty to animals, Northern Ireland, war, and social alienation, but were far from angry rants, often finding a positive and empowering perspective. Culture Shock split at the end of 1989 - Dick went on to form Citizen Fish with Jasper, the bassist on Culture Shock’s final album, and two other former members of the Subhumans. Interest in the band was revived by the release of the Everything CD retrospective in 2012; CULTURE SHOCK reformed as a gigging band and have been playing since 2013. "The Humanity Show" is their brand new 6 song mini-album...

FALL OF EFRAFA - Tharn 12

FALL OF EFRAFA - Tharn 12" (Reissue)

'Tharn' (means 'Fear') is a single-track remix release of 'Dominion Theology' taken from their latest album 'Elil', but feels more like a teaser for new material from Brighton's FALL OF EFRAFA. "Tharn" was originally released 2008 on 300 one-sided LPs with a beautiful screen-printed b-side, this release is sold out since a super long time, which shows you how fast word travels on a fantastic band. PAPER AEROPLANE, the remix masters at work here have turned what is a harsh and bleak track and infused it with piano, cello and a sense of post-rock pleasantries ...
